New Artwork

I am falling a bit behind with posting my new artwork as it comes out so just to get a little caught up I have 3 new pieces to share in this post which will bring me completely caught up to speed.   I am currently working on a custom order wedding pic corpse bride style which I can't wait to share with you when it is done and I also have a cyberpunk art doll on the go for the Etsian Artists Art Party this month as well as a few other little pieces, so there will be a lot more coming soon as well!

Hat & Doll for Young Girl with Cancer

I was recently told about a young girl only 4 years of age sick with cancer and about to start treatments that will cause her hair to fall out. I know all too well what she is going through having gone through the very same thing at the very same age as her. I wanted to do something for her and after finding out that she loves rainbows and her favorite color is pink (a girl after my own heart lol) made it even easier for me to put something together! In these pics are the Art Doll I made for her with a matching floppy sun hat so she can feel pretty on her head all of the time no matter what happens! I named the doll Bright Eyes and he acutally stands 38 inches tall!!! I am getting ready to ship everything out to her tomorrow. I really hope she likes it! 

Splatter Babies

I started a new series of acrylic paintings called Splatter Babies and I have the first 2 done to share with you!  No. 1 is titled "Candy" and No. 2 is titled "Peek A Boo" I do want to point out that they are both featuring the same character in them,  however I do have 2 more paintings started in this series and so far they are both planned to be a different character in each of them.

Plus I have a big announcement to make in regards to this series!  I have made a decision in regards to the mysterious and missing number 4 of this series.  As some may already know because there are bunch of you who have been asking me for No.4 to add to your collections and I can not produce any prints of it and the original is long gone so I have not been able to meet your requests, that is, up until now.  Well, I should say soon rather then now but basically I have come to the decision to repaint no. 4 as it was an ACEO only 3.5"x2.5" and so it won't take me very long at all and this time I will be able to get prints made of it before it sells, something I was not able to do the first time around.  The funny thing is that the only reason that happened is because I was doing a local market and passing the time by painting at my booth.  I was just finishing up the No. 4 ACEO when a lady who had been watching me paint it for the past few minutes asked me if it was going to be for sale.  I told her of course and so she wanted to buy it right there and then, it wasn't even dry yet! lol  I sent her for a walk around the market to let it dry a bit and was able to get a really crappy photo of it on an Iphone right before she left.  I am embarrassed to post the photo up here that is how bad it is lol but it is already posted on my Facebook Fan Page in the Big Juicy Tears of Blood & Pain album if you really wish to see it.  Otherwise if you have a little bit of patience I will be producing No. 4.1 lol very soon and posting the original and prints up for sale in my shop!  So those of you who have been collecting the whole series will be able to fill in the No. 4 gap with No. 4.1.  I hope you all like that idea as much as I do!

This months Etsian Artists Art Party prompt was TIMELESSNESS.  To be honest I had too many ideas running through my head for this one.  Too many, because I am so indecisive and that made it way too hard to narrow it down to just one. lol  As you can see in the above pics, the idea I finally decided upon is inspired by one of my all time fav bands from the 80's Berlin and one song in particular called Dancing In Berlin!  The reason I chose this song for inspiration for this prompt is for many reasons but one in particular because even though this song came out in 1987 it is still in my top playlists here in 2012 and will continue to be forever!  In my opinion it is certainly a timeless hit and Berlin is a timeless band!  For this painting I used a great youtube video for a very rare dance remix of Dancing in Berlin, the video is a slideshow of some fabulous pics and I am sure if you have a peek you will see how they inspired this painting.  Check out the video below...
