VIDEO ART TUTORIAL | Lets Make A Reversible Mini Art Journal!

Hello Oddballs!

Are you ready to have some fun??!  This Reversible Mini Art Journal was super fun and easy to make and I must say......turned out sooooooo cute,  I am super excited about it;  and hope you are as excited as I am....

I used 2 brand new stamps that I created for a creepy cute take on Easter, they were  released in the Oddball Etsy Shop yesterday,  but you could use any stamp(s) you want for your journal using the template in my last tutorial to design your front and back covers in photoshop before you print & paint.

Simply download the zip file containing the template (includes a free digi stamp) if you haven't yet downloaded it.  The template is a .psd file which is a photoshop file and it contains layers.   The layers are labeled so you know where to place your digital image and then which layer to delete the borders before you print, When you place your stamp image you will want to keep it inside the border as anything printed outside of the border will be folded over the cardboard and covered up with glue and the inside pages.  Once you are happy with your front and back covers, save and print to size 6" x 6" art paper.

SUPPLY LIST

  • 2 pcs of 6" x 6" craft or art paper
  • 2 pcs of 4.5" x 4.5" cardboard or chipboard
  • 1(+) pcs of long craft or art paper 4" x  (a # divisible by 4)
  • ( I used 2 pcs of mixed media paper 4" x 24" and connected them together....you can connect as many pcs as you want together to make it as long as you desire as long as the total length is divisble by 4)
  • Mod Podge or strong craft glue
  • ruler
  • pencil
  • craft knife or scissors something to cut the cardboard and paper
  • watercolor paints and brushes or any medium of your choosing
  • digital stamps (optional)

The 2 images used in this tutorial are...

New Digi Stamp Release Today!

As I have been promising for the last few days I released 10 brand new digi stamp images in my Etsy Shop today!  The theme for today is zombies, zombies and more zombies so if you are faint of heart or creep out easily you've been warned! bawaah hah ha ha ha

Click HERE to see the "cute" version of #48

This inspiration behind these 10 new images was to "creep out" my big eye cute girls that are already available in my shop and take them from cute to creepy cute!

I haven't finished creeping out all of the cute girls from my shop yet and a couple of the creepy cute girls released today are not yet available as "cute" in my Etsy Shop yet either - if that makes sense? lol I might have just confused myself there!   Oh well, lets just look at more zombies and all will be well I promise...

I've also been really into looking at Kawaii Chibi's around the net lately, they can be so adorable, and sketching little chibi doodles all over my journal!  So I decided to add a collection of Chibi's to my digi stamps and to start them off what better then a zombie chibi!

Of course since this is the first chibi in my shop there is no "cute" version of her to share but certainly will be one coming to my shop soon!

To keep my little Zombie Chibi Girl company is her Chibi friend the Ninja Zombie Bunny!  IMG#54 & 55 come as a set in my shop.

Kind of reminding me of Spy vs Spy right now...

THAT WAS FUN! lol

Now to get back to some more cute vs. creepy cute...

Outside My Window ~ Travelling Journal

As I already mentioned in a previous post I am participating in a group project called the Travelling Journals. There are 12 of us participating; Each artist constructs a lightweight paper journal to send around the world, it stops at each of the 12 members houses so each artist can work their magic before it comes back home to the one whom started it filled with beautiful artwork from each of us!

Some members set a theme for their journals and the theme of the journal I worked on this month is "Outside My Window"

This is what I created...

This zombie bunny is from part of one of my digital stamps IMG#31 which can be found on Etsy as an INSTANT DOWNLOAD so you can have it immediately and print it as many times as you want and lets not forget about digital manipulation before you print;  If you want to resize it, flip it, stretch it, the possibilities are endless when it comes to digi stamps, part of why I love them so much!!!

I hope you enjoy this page, I would love to hear your opinions below in the comments!
Thanks so much for stopping by! ♥

Technicolor Yawn

I would like to share with you the custom art doll I just finished. The request was for me to make a plush zombie bunny that looked like a rainbow threw up on it.  This is what I came up with...

Skizzy The Zombie Bunny
Original OOAK Art Doll by Lizzy Love

Skizzy The Zombie Bunny spazzin is what it’s all about
it maybe deranged, or psycho, a wee bit freaked out
forever stained by the rainbows Technicolor yawn
now all it can do is try n hide at the first break of dawn
the neon colors gleam so brightly in the light
then glow in the dark when the day changes to night
a misunderstood spaz ball that munches on dead flesh
another rotting corpse, that rabbit don’t look too fresh

visit my Etsy Shop to see more of my ooak art dolls or request your own custom doll!
