May 15th NEW Stamp Releases Already In The Shop!

In case you missed it because it didn't happen until about 3am on the 16th lol the new stamp releases are already in the shop but I  have not found the time to blog it until now.

While I have your attention, the new rubber stamp releases for May also became available on the Whimsy Stamps site yesterday! Here's what the new rubber stamps look like in color....

(click n follow links then scroll WAY down!)

For my new digital stamp releases this time around I created a preview page to display the stamps with all of the info about each stamp on the page such as titles, image numbers and number of files and what type of files.  However if you find these pages hard to understand and hard to get a good look at the stamps,  you are not alone and not to worry,  after receiving feedback I am working on tweaking the design to make it more clear and easier to understand what you are looking at,  however in the meantime I have included the images without the preview page here and on Etsy....

FYI - Starting with IMG #218(below) all of my stamps/stamp sets will all come with a jpeg and a png of each image in the set.  (previously I was only including the sentiments as pngs)

Shop til you puke at the Spooky B-Cute...

With the last stamp release you may remember Sally Sadness and Jacks Box of Horrors new to the Spooky B-Cute section of my shop, they both looked somewhat similar to these next 2 stamps because they are all part of a new set of characters I am working on that I am calling "Creeps" (thank you to my hubby for the name, I can't take credit for that one tbh lol)

Brand NEW to the Oddball Digital DOLLAR BIN...

I have a big art show coming up at the beginning of June which I have been working like crazy to prepare for!  Has May just slipped right by for anyone else? or is that just me? lol   I will be at Art in the Park in Windsor Ontario June 6th and 7th if you are in the area come by and say HELLO!  I will have lots of artwork/merchandise that you will ONLY see and be able to buy in person at my shows!!!  With that being said,  the next digital stamp release will be June 15th (my birthday yay) instead of June 1st.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the new preview pages above.  Is it helpful to have all the info about the stamps right on the same page?   Is it too busy?   Is it easy to make out what each stamp looks like on this page?  Do you like the old way better? new way better?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

New Stamp Releases for May 1

Hello Oddballs!!!!!

I made some changes to the shop in April to hopefully make it easier for you to find the stamps you are looking for.  Instead of having only 1 section for all digital items, I now have them separated into 4 sections as follows....

STAMPS B-CUTE - (all cute stamps)
SPOOKY B-CUTE - (all creepy/creepy cute/spooky stamps)
STAMPS B-DOLLAR BIN - (all stamps for a dollar includes Elements)
BOTTLECAP DOWNLOADS - (bottlecaps only)

I have some new stamp designs in the shop to share with you today.....

Audrey here was added a couple of days before Earth Day in between releases so you may have seen her already but in case you haven't.....

Zeddy the Zebra came to the Oddball Shop just before Christmas dressed in his Santa Hat,  he's now back dressed as himself, in a party hat and even a bandaged leg...

I figured the party hat might come in handy to accessorize many of my characters that you may already have at home so I added it as an "Element" to the stores Digital Dollar Bin for just a buck...

Buy 211 HERE (Dollar Bin)

Jack and Sally are 2 brand new creepy cute characters I developed this month...

We Are Just Days Away

From the Annual Canadian Seal Slaughter

My Design Team has been busy creating so many beautiful card samples with my "Save the Seals" Digital Stamp Set I just couldn't wait to show them off!

and remember....

100% of the funds from the sale of this Stamp Set goes directly to IFAW as we work together to try and end this horrific waste of life!

"According to IFAW, the seal hunt – cited as an important economic driver by the Tory government – costs taxpayers approximately $7 million per year, adding that 35 countries have banned the import of non-Aboriginal seal products, and that the seasonal, part-time practice creates a massive amount of waste."

“Canada’s commercial seal hunt is a horrific waste that has no place in modern society,” says IFAW’s Sheryl Fink in the news release. “When seals from the commercial seal hunt are killed, they are not eaten and the whole animal is not used. Over 90 per cent of seals killed are for fur – they are skinned and their bodies are thrown back in to the ocean or left to rot on the ice.”

“The commercial seal hunt has been declining since 2006, and data from the 2014 hunt indicate that it is at one of the lowest points in history,” Fink says. “People do not want seal products, and there are 35 countries around the world that now ban them. The commercial seal hunt is unnecessary, and it’s time to transition sealers out of it.”

Oddball Art Co. Presents....

SAVE THE SEALS

Canadian Seals need our help!

400,000

That's how many baby harp seals the Canadian fisheries minister has said that sealers will be allowed to bludgeon or shoot to death this year. These sensitive, social animals will be horrifically killed—often while other seals watch and wail in terror. Seals can be legally killed in Canada when they're just weeks old, and most will be stripped of their skin before they reach 3 months of age.

I could continue on for pages and pages about the atrocities committed each and every year here in Canada but that would get very depressing and make me sad and you sad and then there will be crying involved and we dont want that,  so lets keep this a happy place and I will give you some links at the bottom of this post to explore on your own time. I warn  you to prepare youself for what you will see if you click these links, it is graphic, horrific but worst of all it IS HAPPENING!  We cannot turn a blind eye to these atrocities, we need to stand up and be a voice for these innocent beings that cant speak for or defend themselves against humanity!

Over the coming weeks the Oddball Design Team will be creating all kinds of fun samples to inspire you with, using my SAVE THE SEALS DIGITAL STAMP SET 100% of proceeds from the sale of this stamp set will continue to be donated to IFAW's Canadian Seal Campaign!  Thanks to all of the hard work so far the hunt is currently at one of its lowest points in history, successfully closing markets for seal products in the European Union and Russia, we need to continue to ensure that new markets do not open up elsewhere in the world and keep up the fight til it is officially illegal to murder a seal here in Canada!
Check out the Thermometer on the right to see how much money we have raised so far!

100% of funds from the purchase of this Seal Stamp Set will be donated to IFAW

My DT Member Granne not only has created some beautiful cards with these stamps but she also created a "Sealed with a Kiss" sentiment that you can download for FREE from her blog! So be sure to stop by there and scoop that up as well as check out her fabulous makes!

If you do create a project with these Seal Images do not forget to enter it in this months Oddball Stamps Blog Challenge as the theme is "For A Cause" and entries will be accepted thru til April 14th at 10pm est.  #OddballartChallenge

I will be back on April 30th to share with you all of the fun projects that my team came up with over the coming weeks, as well as make the announcement of how many funds we are able to raise between now and then (you can keep an eye on that by watching the thermometer above and its also posted to the right on this blog.

and best of all after finding out just how passionate my design team members are about animals as I am (awesome sauce!) This is only the first of many of this type of event to come!

So when I come back on April 30th I will also announce what animal we will be "saving" next. (we are currently voting on it lol)

Here are those links I was talking about earlier....

Thank you for stopping by today!
