12 Cards of Christmas - Card 2
Here we are, day 2 and card 2. I am exceptionally pleased with how card 2 turned out. It's been hand painted on HP photo quality 1/4 fold greeting card stock using Lixuitex acrylic paints, as always. I have used my hanging hearts from a tree design and incorporated it into a very cute snowmans stick arms. Well, you can just see for yourself below. Oh, and the inside of this one has been left blank so that it can be personalized to whom ever purchases it from my Etsy Shop.

12 Cards Of Christmas - Card 1
With Christmas coming I wanted to do a cute blog that I could incorporate the old '12 Days of Christmas' with my art and with my blog and what I came up with is the '12 Cards of Christmas' so everyday starting today I am going to create one handmade/handpainted Christmas greeting card and share it with you on my blog. To start it off I have created a very cute Christmas card that I used as also a thank you card to ship out my second order. As for the next 11 cards will be available on my Etsy Shop for any last minute gift ideas.
Without further a do, here is the 'First Card of Christmas'
I am very pleased with how well this one turned out, in real life you can really see the snow glisten with all the sparkles and it's just beautiful. Stay tuned for the 'Second Card of Christmas' tomorrow.

A Love Story 3/Greeting Card Design
This project was done as a Birthday gift, so the greeting card was done to co-ordinate the painting which is also part of the 'A Love Story' series. This piece is # 3 in the series and is titled 'Tree of Hearts.' The Birthday card has been hand painted to match the painting but because I don't believe in duplicating anything it is not identical. I have photos of the entire ensamble below....

This beautiful surreal piece is 16" x 20" x .5" in size on stretched canvas and features two Scarlet Tanagers perched in a zebra print tree. 'A Love Story' is the first of the series and is being shown in the 29th Annual Doin' The Louvre exhibition in Windsor, On. until Dec. 23 2010 and may or may not still be available for purchase. 'Scarlet Night' is available for purchase in my Etsy Shop.

Signature Design
I was approached by my fiance to design a signature for his hotmail account. He is a real military buff so I used a camouflage border around his name which was done in a stone type writing with the sun shining bright in the background. As far as the feel of it, I think I nailed it dead on as far as the concept goes. Well, just take a looksy below....

Art Attack - Car Art
Sorry for not having anything good or worthy enough for Art Attack the last couple of days but I think I have finally come across something cool enough to show you. I surfed the net looking at so much art, I looked at art done on canvas and art done on walls and different types of sculptures until I came across something I really wasn't expecting and that is, 'Car Art.' and why not?
It turns out that there is an awful lot of very funky and artistic things that you can do to and with a car. I went ahead and started researching the subject and what I found out is, first of all, I have been saying it wrong and 'Car Art' is actually called an 'Art Car' and is defined as a vehicle that has had its appearance modified as an act of personal artistic expression. Art cars are often driven and owned by their creators, who are sometimes referred to as "Cartists."

I am not going to get into all of the nitty gritty details and history of the 'Art Car' here and instead just get straight down to what we all want to see, and that is some cool art. So here are the best of the best pics that I could find to give you a good idea of what this kind of art is all about and here is a LINK to a good definition and background history of the 'Art Car' that I could find.
